The Story Behind This Song
I wrote this at the bottom of a bottle — and then I put the bottle down.
This song is about the moment you realize the thing you're using to cope is the thing that's killing you. The night you look at yourself and decide you're done drowning. Done numbing. Done pretending one more drink is going to fix what broke you.
Sobriety isn't pretty. Nobody writes songs about the shaking hands and the 3 AM ceiling staring and the part where you have to feel everything you've been running from. But that's the real song. That's where the healing starts.
If you're fighting that fight right now — you're not alone. And if you already won it — this one's for you. Break those chains. You're stronger than the bottle ever was.

Be the first one around the fire.
